Pink lagoon of Torrevieja

This phenomenon of natural origin, unique in Spain, is produced by a bacterium that releases a pinkish pigment in waters with high concentration of salt. The months in which the pink water is better seen are August and September.
Peñon d’ Ifach Calpe
The 322-metre-tall symbol of the Calpe area offers a one-kilometre hiking trail through the natural park of Peñon d’Ifach. You can get to the summit either by a guide or by yourself. In the past, Peñon d’Ifach was used as a watchtower to guard against attacks from Berber pirates. Today the Peñon d’Ifach is a peaceful refuge for many plants and bird species along with a cherished destination for people coming from all around the world.
Natural park of the Serra Gelada
